St. Mary Outreach Food Pantry
Fr. Hay Education Building
700 Columbia Drive, Durand, MI 48429
St. Mary Outreach Food Pantry has been in existence since January 2012. We provide food assistance to families in our community. Parishioners bring food items to church and make monitory donations thru the church collection baskets. We purchase food at a reduced cost from the Greater Lansing Food bank. In addition to food, we’ve been able to give away Easter Baskets, Winter Coats, Backpacks filled with School Supplies, Valentine goodies and Prayer Shawls from generous donations of our parishioners. It's a beautiful ministry that intertwines many of the ministries in our church - Working Hands Ministry, Knights of Columbus, Youth Group and Faith Formation ministry.
Please contact us at 1-855-288-6704 Extension 7017 if you are in need of food or if you want to help volunteer for this ministry or if you just have questions. We also welcome donations of non-perishable food items along with paper products such as toilet paper, paper towels, napkins etc.
Here is our 2024 Food Distribution schedule which all take place on

For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, a stranger and you welcomed me, Matthew 25:35
We provide assistance to families in our community. Our pantry operates the third Wednesday of the month, by appointment only. Appointments may be made by calling our St. Joseph office at (989) 271-8434.
We serve 30-35 individuals every month.
Our operation runs strictly by donations. Parishioners bring food items to church, we receive collections from the Gaines Community Council, Gaines United Methodist Church, Duffield United Methodist Churches, and our Mother Teresa Group. We utilize the Eastern Michigan Food Bank as one of our resources at a reduced cost.
We are always looking for volunteers to work at the food pantry! You can also assist by bringing food items to church, or baking for the bake sale.
If you have questions, contact the St. Joseph office at (989) 271-8434.
